Pensar es decir no

Durante el año académico 1960-1961, Jacques Derrida, entonces asistente de filosofía general y lógica en La Sorbona, lleva a cabo una lectura de la frase de Alain: «Pensar es decir no». Este curso magistral de cuatro sesiones muestra ya los signos de la escritura deconstructiva que estaría por venir. En él, Derrida desmonta qué queremos decir cuando decimos «sí» o «no», además de formular y plantear por primera vez el binomio «sí no», elemento básico y originario del acto de pensar. Frente a este texto, se tiene la impresión de estar ante cuestiones fundamentales del pensamiento de Derrida, que aún hoy conservan su relevancia en una época en la que a menudo resulta difícil distinguir entre pensamiento y creencia. Redactado a mano por Derrida durante la guerra de independencia de Argelia, y hasta ahora inédito, Pensar es decir no es el texto más antiguo del corpus derridiano que ve la luz gracias a una importante editorial laboral.

During the academic year 1960-1961, Jacques Derrida, then assistant of general philosophy and logic at the Sorbonne, carried out a reading of Alain's phrase: "To think is to say no." This four-session master course already shows the signs of the deconstructive writing that would be to come. In it, Derrida dismantles what we mean when we say "yes" or "no", in addition to formulating and proposing for the first time the binomial "yes, no", a basic and original element of the act of thinking. Faced with this text, one has the impression of being faced with fundamental questions of Derrida's thought, which still retain their relevance today in an era in which it is often difficult to distinguish between thought and belief. Written by hand by Derrida during the Algerian war of independence, and until now unpublished, To Think is to Say No is the oldest text in the Derridean corpus to see the light of day thanks to an important labor publisher.
