English summary: Human as "the most familiar of living animal" (Aristotle) has been scrutinised throughout the sciences and across societies. This volume offers a basic orientation to human images in the Bible, the ecclesiastical and philosophical tradition, as well as to contemporary anthropologies from the point of view of the theological disciplines, supplemented by psychology of religion. The contributions are a result of debates between the authors and thus the book provides relevant themes for a cross-disciplinary anthropological debate. German description: Der Mensch als das "Vertrauteste der Lebewesen" (Aristoteles) steht quer durch die Wissenschaften und Gesellschaften in Frage. Dieser Band bietet aus der Sicht der theologischen Facher, erganzt durch die Religionspsychologie, eine grundlegende Orientierung zu Menschenbildern in Bibel, kirchlicher und philosophischer Tradition sowie gegenwartiger Anthropologien.
