La SS-Division "Nord"

Few color photographs exist from World War II and even fewer when they show a unit of the Waffen-SS. The SS-Kriegsberichter Mitcshke was able to benefit from this technology, not widespread at the time, with a report of forty photographs showing the SS-Gebirgs-Division “Nord” on the Finnish front.

The photographs offer a varied panorama of the life of this division in the spectacular setting of the forest of Carélie. This book is also an opportunity to provide new information to this unit compared to the text published in the ‘Dictionary of the Waffen-SS’.
