Atonement and reconsiliation are two important functions, which are used during conflict resolutions - concering the disturbed relationships to gods or between people. The whole potential of conflict resolutions, which appeared from the 2nd mill BC to the late antiquity and which went deeply into the political, legal and economic life is under discussion in this volume.
