Entwicklung der Schreibkompetenz in einer Fremdsprache an der Hochschule: Konzept fur die Schreibvermittlung im berufsbezogenen Unterricht am Beispiel von Deutsch als Fremdsprache

The aim of this publication is to establish the foreign language writing needs in the workplace (through questionnaires with professionals) as well as the status of professional writing in foreign language teaching at universities (both in philological and non-philological fields of study) (through interviews with teachers) and, based on this, to develop a concept for teaching professional writing skills using German as a foreign language at universities so that university graduates are able to meet the current communicative demands of the world of work and to adapt teaching to the processes of change in the world of work in the future. The quantitative-qualitative research methods used also reveal the discrepancies between institutionally stipulated and actually required professional language writing competence areas.
