Bajo el viento oceánico

Rachel Carson es una de las mejores escritoras de nature writing del siglo XX y una científica cuya capacidad para ver e imaginar la vida finalmente cambió nuestra relación con el mundo natural. Pocas obras han influido tanto en el devenir del activismo medioambiental y el compromiso con el planeta como el conjunto de libros firmado por esta autora. De todos ellos, Bajo el viento oceánico, inédito hasta ahora en castellano, fue siempre su preferido y el de muchos de sus lectores, tal vez porque en él fue capaz de mostrar como en ningún otro su amor por el misterio y la maravilla de la naturaleza: un volumen en el que se describe, de un modo tan poético como preciso, tan impropio de la ciencia al uso y tan profundamente enriquecedor, la vida de los peces, las aves y los mamíferos que comparten un mismo hábitat donde se unen el mar, la tierra y el aire. Few of her works have had as much influence on the future of environmental activism and commitment to the planet as the set of books signed by this author.
